Designer of the Year
This award is for the design of pages, covers, sections or whole publications. Entries may have been published in our newspapers, iPad apps, magazines, inserted magazines, supplements or websites.
Criteria:
- • Creativity and originality
- • Innovation
- • Flair and artistic technique
- • Degree of difficulty
- • Challenging and exciting
- • Connection with audience
Judges will consider up to five individual examples of published work.
What to submit:
- Five published examples of your work. If a magazine is an example, select a cover, key pages such as lead section pages or major spreads.
- A supporting statement of up to 500 words describing the body of work.
Supporting statement:
The supporting statement for this award does not need to be as comprehensive as it does for other categories. However, please describe as fully as possible:
- The assignment and its background
- What you were trying to achieve with it
- Any technical or practical difficulties you encountered
- Anything else that may be relevant to the judges.
How many times can you enter?
Individuals may enter the same category only once a year.
You may enter more than one category (ie Designer of the Year and Artist of the Year), provided that different material is submitted for each different award.
